About us
Since 1999, a group of like minded people started a series of Diabetes in Asia Conferences to increase awareness of diabetes, exchange experiences and promote research activities in the region. This group formally assembled in Cape Town on December 2, 2006 to establish Diabetes in Asia Study Group (DASG).

In order to meet the aims and objectives of this group the first DASG conference was held in Nepal in October 2008, where executive member unanimously decided to bring out an official scientific journal of DASG; "Journal of Diabetology (JOD)". JOD is an open access, peer reviewed, online journal, publishes thrice a year. The first issue is published in February 2010.
Aims and scope

Journal of Diabetology has the aim to provide a forum for clinicians who are involved in the care of people with diabetes to exchange information, promote better management and stimulate research.

Its scope is to publish original research and scholarly reviews about prevention and management of diabetes, relating both to general and specific issues.
